Frequently Asked Questions
Can I purchase a standalone box without subscribing?
If we have any leftover boxes remaining after the subscription period, they will be available for up to one week while supplies last. Standalone boxes cost $95 plus shipping. Please note that some quarters, boxes sell out before we have the chance to offer them as one-time purchases. To take advantage of 20%+ savings and to guarantee that you'll receive a box, be sure to sign up for a seasonal subscription.
What kind of sewing machine do I need?
Our faux leather is compatible with many domestic sewing machines, as well as semi-industrial and industrial machines. If you have successfully worked with faux leather or vinyl before, you will have no problem with Simply Classic's faux leather. No matter what machine you use, a walking foot will give you the best outcome. We make every effort to reduce bulk in our patterns, but you are responsible for knowing the capabilities of your machine.
I am new to bag making. Is this subscription good for beginners?
Absolutely! The subscription box is a fantastic way for confident beginners and experienced bag makers to try different materials, styles, and techniques. Our sewing patterns feature detailed instructions and full-color photos for every part of the bag making process. You will also get access to an exclusive video tutorial that walks you through each step. If you run into any problems or have questions, we are always here to help!
What additional supplies and materials will I need to complete my bag?
The only materials NOT included in each box are thread, interfacing, and stabilizer, and any materials that are optional for the pattern. As with any bag project, you will need basic sewing tools and notions such as scissors, rulers, a cutting mat, and leather needles. You will also need access to a printer in order to print your PDF pattern.
How does the quarterly payment plan work?
If you are on a quarterly payment plan, your card will automatically be charged on the same day each quarter. For example, if you purchased your first box on March 22, you will be charged for subsequent boxes on June 22, September 22, and December 22.
How can I check my subscription status?
1. Visit www.simplyclassic.net and click Log In in the upper right corner. Enter your credentials to log in. 2. Click the account button on the upper right corner of the page. A dropdown menu will appear. 3. To check for an annual subscription, select My Orders from the dropdown menu. Check your order history for "Quarterly Mystery Subscription Box" or "Bag Making Subscription Box." If you are an annual subscriber, you will see it listed here, along with the date you subscribed. 4. To check for a quarterly subscription, select My Subscriptions from the dropdown menu. If you are a quarterly subscriber, you will see subscription dates and payment details here.
